Iphone show downloaded music only ios 10

To delete music from the library, touch and hold the song, album, playlist, or music video, then tap Delete from Library. See Listen to Dolby Atmos music on iPhone. Tap Remove, then tap Remove Downloads. High Quality, Lossless, and High-Resolution Lossless use significantly more cellular data than High Efficiency, which may incur additional charges from your cellular carrier. Sep 20, AM. Just chiming in to say that the new requirement to navigate through the "Downloaded" menu option is really annoying, and a definite step backwards from iOS 9 though I suspect it is part of Apple's plan to nudge people towards Apple Music subscriptions and away from syncing actual song files.

It's obnoxious to have my phone's music library cluttered by default with everything I've ever purchased. Sep 21, PM in response to sskkooommaa In response to sskkooommaa. Sep 21, PM. If I open music app, I can't click any thing in the left top corner - is that a special config item I have to select elsewhere? Sep 23, PM in response to sskkooommaa In response to sskkooommaa. We have not yet migrated to Family Share so all music all of us download are all on my iTunes account. I downloaded only song's for my younger son on his iPad and iTouch but now he is able to see and listed to any song downloaded under our account. In iOS 9 there is a switch in the Music Setting to "Only Show Downloaded Music" but I like the idea someone posted above if Apple doesn't want to go that route and instead replace the "Downloaded Music" playlist with a "Purchased Music" playlist and always default to only show and play only music downloaded on the particular iOS device.

Almost make me want to go dig out my old MP3 player from the unused electronics box and use that for my younger son. Sep 29, AM. Oct 2, AM. Oct 3, PM in response to sskkooommaa In response to sskkooommaa. I just did a chat with Apple about this issue.

The technician suggested restoring from a backup, but I don't see how that would help since the option isn't in iOS 10 to begin with. I asked him to make a suggestion to put it back but I'm sure there won't be any kind of follow up. Oct 3, PM. I had the same type of unwanted content. Really annoying how this is handled in iOS 10 vs previous iOS versions. I agree with others on this thread, show us what we've synced and bring back the toggle switch which was there in earlier iOS versions. Allow us at least to make the choice ourselves. Oct 7, AM. I got it to play CD quality music via iTunes while I'm in the car. But Apple is pushing too many of my buttons: no headphone jack; Siri, which is damned near useless compared to Google Now; and weird quirks like this which appear to have no reasoning other than to generate new income streams for Apple.

So I have started experimenting with Spotify and its sound quality, and I've found that it's intuitive, has decent sound quality for the car , and is possibly a decent replacement for Apple Music.

But the Google Pixel is presenting me with a tempting option: A personal assistant that isn't an idiot, music that may just be "good enough," and the self-respect to escape a company that treats me like a ten-year old who's being "educated" in what is right for him. Only solution I could find was to delete the track off your phone. Can be done by holding your finger on the track. Can do the same for a whole album just hold the album.
